LOCATION: Camberley, Surrey (GU15) - This role is office based alongside work from client sites and work from home too.

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an IT Infrastructure Manager / Senior Technical Delivery Team Leadwho has 'hands on' technical support and project management experience covering IT Networks, MS Windows and Microsoft Modern Workplace Technologies.

Working as the IT Infrastructure Manager / Senior Technical Delivery Team Lead you will manage and lead a team of IT Support Engineers who provide technical support to clients directly, and to other members of your teams in house.

As the IT Infrastructure Manager / Senior Technical Delivery Team Lead you will provide technical account management to a key group of strategically important customers, you will provide solutions, design and provide technical management on projects, and progress the commercial development of the organisation. Your technical knowledge and experience should be at an intermediate / advanced level and seeking to constantly develop your skills further.

DUTIES

Your duties as an IT Infrastructure Manager / Senior Technical Delivery Team Lead will include:

  • Having responsibility as the Design and Implementation and Lead/Senior Technical Engineer for several key clients. Building strong working relationships with the customer and attending regular reviews, development of their technical strategy and roadmap, identifying commercial opportunities, dealing with escalations and providing & updating client documentation
  • Manage the Technical Implementation Team, Including one to ones, performance reviews, training plans and diary management
  • Working with the Technical Director, Solutions Architect and other Senior Engineers on leading solution design, planning and implementation on projects such as Server & Network Installations, Office365, SharePoint
  • Create and maintain technical documentation to assist other technical teams for clients where Technical Lead responsibility is given
  • Assist the Client Account Managers in creation of Statement of Works (SoW)
  • Support other Technical Leads and internal teams where needed to ensure success
  • Assist colleagues and mentor Engineers, Junior Engineers and Apprentices across the technical teams, providing opportunities for continual learning and growth
  • Line management of team members

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven technical support experience in a similar environment
  • Proven management experience of a team of at least 5 people
  • Ability to work as a senior technical delivery engineer and manage a people at the same time
  • Excellent level of technical experience of Windows and Microsoft Modern Workplace technologies
  • Experience of Intune and Autopilot - Management, Design, Implementation
  • Modern workplace Cloud infrastructure management - iE SharePoint Management, Design, Implementation
  • Current Windows Server versions & services Management, Design, Implementation
  • Network Infrastructure - Management, Design and Implementation
  • Remote Desktop Services, Session Host, Connection Broker experience beneficial
  • Proven experience in a customer contact/facing role - Ability to explain information in a professional manner to differing levels of technical knowledge
  • Understanding of incident and problem management, change and configuration management
  • Understanding and experience with customer SLAs and KPIs
  • Able to quickly learn and demonstrate a genuine interest in new technologies
  • Ability to schedule tasks, meet deadlines, work unsupervised and set/follow procedures
  • Industry standard qualifications are desirable e.g. Microsoft, Cisco
