Our client, reputable company from Altrincham is looking for a Credit Controller to join their team.
This is hybrid role, woeking 8:30-5:00pm Monday to Friday (2 days WFH and 3 days in the office). Successful candidate must be based in commutable distance to Altrincham.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor customer accounts and ensure timely payments.
- Chase overdue invoices via phone, email, and letters.
- Negotiate payment plans and terms with customers.
- Maintain accurate records of all communications and transactions.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and send out regular account statements.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice disputes.
- Review and assess creditworthiness of new and existing customers.
- Generate and analyse ageing reports and other relevant credit control reports.
- Support month-end closing and reporting tasks.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in credit control or a similar role.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
