Quantity Surveyor

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor whose focus is on fitout projects? You will have a successful strong background in quantity surveying within the fitout sector, demonstrating expertise in cost management, contract administration, and financial control. The QS will play a crucial role in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. There is a salary of up to £60,000 plus many benefits.

The Role:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for fitout projects.
  • Manage project budgets and perform cost analysis.
  • Monitor and control project expenditures.
  • Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts and subcontracts.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and issue tender documents and evaluate responses.
  • Negotiate and manage procurement contracts.
  • Conduct regular cost reporting and forecasting.
  • Manage cash flow and progress payments.
  • Ensure accurate and timely invoicing.
  • Identify and assess project risks.
  • Develop and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain risk registers and report on potential impacts.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quantity surveying within the fitout sector.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and cost control.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Membership in relevant professional bodies (e.g., RICS, AIQS) is an advantage.
