Management Accountant / Assistant Management Accountants

We are currently partnered with a global convenience retailer who are looking to bring in a management accountant or assistant management accountants.

They are looking for someone ideally with multi-site experience and retail experience is desirable. However, manufacturing backgrounds are also being considered at this moment in time.

In this role you will be required to provide accounting support within the Country Finance team, to ensure key financial close and day to day activities are complete in a robust and timely manner. The role will also act as a key supporting role for the Senior Accounting team by completing routine clerical and accounting tasks.

Key Accountabilities / Main Duties:

  • Support in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Preparing and posting journals entries
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliation for your area of responsibility
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
  • Assist in the audit process and prepare the necessary backup
  • Assist with year-end statutory accounts
  • Maintain robust processes and controls in line with Group requirements
  • Ensure consistent documentation of all tasks and activities according to internal policies
  • Continuously review finance processes and controls
  • Other Ad-hoc projects

Qualifications / Experience:

  • CIMA/ACCA Finalist or equivalent
  • Understands accounting software, utilises system knowledge to create specific reports
  • SME expert supporting in project work
  • Organise and run a pre-meet supporting in presentations
  • Reviews knowledge of key business activities and how this impacts Country Finance Team
  • Ensures all resources are in place to achieve goals
  • Understands their role within the team and how this contributes to Finance as a whole
