Service Charge Accountant

Our client is a premier property management firm dedicated to providing exceptional service to their clients. A position has become available for an experienced Service Charge Accountant to join their finance team on a permanent basis.
This position offers hybrid working (1 day from home), pension contribution, parking and generous holidays. Hours of Work are Monday - Thursday - 09:00 - 17:00 and Fridays - 09:00 - 13:30.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and raise service charge budgets in accordance with lease agreements
- Prepare and issue quarterly service charge and ground rent charges
- Conduct client bank account reconciliation for income and expenditure
- Prepare annual service charge account reconciliations
- Work closely with external accountants to ensure accurate service charge accounts
- Prepare biannual client ground rent statements for the property portfolio
- Compile and deliver quarterly financial reports
- Manage and reconcile reserve funds
- Answering leaseholder account queries within appropriate time frames
- Setting up financial data of new properties
Qualifications:
- Experience in service charge accounting
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- Good MS Excel and experience using accounting software
