Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to students, fostering a positive and productive learning environment.
- Assist in the implementation of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) strategies.
- Support students with autism and other special educational needs.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to develop and deliver tailored educational plans.
- Monitor and document student progress, providing feedback to educators and parents.
Teaching Assistant Qualifications:
- A degree in Psychology is highly preferred.
- Understanding of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) is a strong advantage.
- Experience working on a 1:1 basis with students is essential.
- Direct experience with autism, either professionally or personally (e.g., a family member), is beneficial.
- Newham based candidates are preferred but not essential.
