Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to students, fostering a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Assist in the implementation of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) strategies.
  • Support students with autism and other special educational needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to develop and deliver tailored educational plans.
  • Monitor and document student progress, providing feedback to educators and parents.

Teaching Assistant Qualifications:

  • A degree in Psychology is highly preferred.
  • Understanding of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) is a strong advantage.
  • Experience working on a 1:1 basis with students is essential.
  • Direct experience with autism, either professionally or personally (e.g., a family member), is beneficial.
  • Newham based candidates are preferred but not essential.
