Finance Manager

Our client, a leading financially backed Tech firm are looking for a Finance Manager to join their dedicated team. Reporting to the Finance Director, this pivotal role involves leading a small finance team and managing the full spectrum of financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, management accounting, and month-end processes. As a Finance Manager, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact and contribute to the strategic direction of our organisation during a period of exciting growth.
This role would likely suit a PQ or Finalist candidate with a strong track-record who is looking to take on a challenging new role that could grow into a FC role over time.

This is a permanent position paying £50,000-£60,000.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Prepare Management Accounts with precision and within deadlines.
- Manage the accounts receivable and payable processes through two direct reports.
- Take charge of overall sales ledger management.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and manage accruals, prepayments, income in advance, and VAT.
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain the Fixed Asset Register.
- Handle monthly fixed asset depreciation and reconciliation.
- Manage quarterly consumption tax reconciliations.
- Prepare and administer VAT, MOSS VAT, and sales tax returns.
- Address EU invoicing and VAT queries.
- Oversee inventory management and conduct P&L analysis.
- Run weekly and monthly payment processes.
- Support the Finance Reporting Lead with audit activities.
- Assist the commercial team with transactional queries.
Expected Impact:
- Enhance the accuracy and delivery speed of Management Accounts.
- Drive general finance process improvements.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to direct reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Part-Qualified or finalist Accountant - ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.
- Demonstrable accounts experience.
- Previous team management or mentoring experience.
- Strong Excel and systems skills.
- Flexibility and confidence to take initiative in an evolving environment.
- Meticulous, organised, and detail-oriented.
Bonus Experience:
- Previous experience in a SaaS business is highly regarded.
