Insurance Claims Handler

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum negotiable (dependent on experience and qualification)

Our client is a thriving insurance brokerage who are now seeking to grow their claims team in Catterick. This role will involve managing a diverse caseload of motor, property, and liability insurance claims including both HNW private client and some commercial combined.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing efficient and empathetic support to clients throughout the claims process, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and process claims related to motor, property, and liability insurance policies.
- Communicating with policyholders, brokers, and insurers to gather information and updates on claims status.
- Conducting thorough investigations of claims, evaluating coverage, liability, and damages to determine appropriate outcomes.
- Collaborating with insurers, loss adjusters, and legal representatives to negotiate settlements representing your client in the best possible way.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of claims, adhering to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Providing excellent customer service and regular updates to clients throughout the claims process.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of claims handling processes and procedures.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in insurance claims handling which can involve motor, property, and/ or liability insurance claims.
- Strong knowledge of insurance industry regulations and claims handling procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and claims processing.
- Experience using Acturis would be beneficial.
