We are looking for experienced Mental Health Nurses to work for one of the mental health trusts in the North East. The work is within the Triage and Assessment team.
Description:
The role will include completing triage and assessments with clients experiencing a range of mental health issues, ensuring clients receive the most appropriate assessment of their needs and ongoing referral to treatment/support services. Working collaboratively with locality team staff to ensure the best outcomes for clients.
You will be part of a supportive team of staff and will have the opportunity to gain skills and experience in the triage and assessment of clients. You will also work closely with colleagues within Community Mental Health services to ensure clients are given a collaborative approach to their care and assessment.
Experience
Essential:
- Appropriate knowledge/experience of working in mental health/learning disability clinical practice areas
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Understanding of caseload management responsibilities
Desirable:
- Be on the live register for mentors
- Demonstrable experience of mentoring pre-registration students
- Full understanding of relevant policy, drivers, and their application to clinical and service area
- Full understanding and application of relevant clinical practice, standards, and audit within the identified clinical area
