Credit Controller
Trafford Park - Office Based
£29,000pa DoE plus £200 Bonus PER MONTH
The Credit Control Officer will be responsible for processing monthly client payments and updating the accounts system to reflect this. The person will maintain regular contact with in relation to outstanding payments for customers to ensure payments are made in a timely manner.
Main Responsibilities
- Producing monthly Debtors listing and report to management on monthly basis, discuss the appropriate action
- Processing monthly client payments and updating the accounts to reflect this
- Evaluate billing/funding activity and recognise, investigate and resolve any inconsistencies and errors
- Action debt balances following company's policy on debt collection, refer to a debt collection agency if necessary or initiate legal proceedings against the client
- Investigate large credit balances and provide guidance to the homes on relevant action,
- Ensure all the contract documentation/payment details are submitted to local/health authorities as per requirements
- Ability to manage change and take an active role in process improvement
- Support of the accounts receivable team and a credit controller in their days to day tasks
Requirements:
Proven working experience as Credit Controller or Accounts Receivable Officer (with experience of debt chasing)
- Solid understanding of debt collection process and collection regulations
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in English and MS Office, data entry skills, excellent customer service skills
