Quality Inspector required to join a leading provider of precision CNC machining services, catering to various industries, including aerospace, automotive, and medical devices. They are seeking a meticulous and experienced Quality Inspector to join the team. The Quality Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that all machined parts and components meet stringent quality standards before they are delivered to our clients.

**Quality Inspector

Position Overview

  • Perform detailed inspections of machined parts, sub-assemblies, and finished products using a variety of precision measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
  • Compare part dimensions and features against engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Perform final inspection of finished products prior to shipment.
  • Accurately record inspection results, non-conformances, and other quality-related data in accordance with company procedures and quality management systems.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating the calibration records for all measuring and test equipment.
  • Work closely with CNC operators, machinists, and engineers to identify and resolve quality issues in real-time.
  • Provide feedback to the production team on potential improvements to machining processes that could enhance product quality.
  • Ensure that all inspection activities adhere to industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) and customer-specific quality requirements.
  • Carry out routine quality and 5s audit checks of patrolled batches

**Quality Inspector

Position Requirements

  • Previous experience within a Quality inspector position or similar within an engineering environment
  • Must be bale to read and understand engineering drawings
  • CMM experience is very advantageous
  • Must be computer literate and be willing to learn
  • Must live within a commutable distance of Swindon

**Quality Inspector

Position Remuneration

  • Full time - Permanent position
  • Monday to Friday - shifts (6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10:15pm Monday - Thursday, 6am-1pm/ 1pm -7pm on Fridays)
  • Salary depending on experience
