Inspector Roles and Responsibilities:
- Support in the milling and turning section by completing full 2nd check, ensuring this is completed for each batch, after setting for production
- Use a range of measuring equipment to complete inspections for medium, small and tight tolerances
- Interpret component drawings ensuring completed components are to customer expectations
- Operation/ running of the Co-ordinate measuring machines (CMM)
- Ensure that the measuring equipment is regularly calibrated
- Carrying out routine quality and 5s audit checks of patrolled batches
- Assist in production with queries, standards or other issues and liaising with QA
The ideal Inspector will:
- Hold a recognized engineering apprenticeship
- Have experience with turning, milling, mechanical or inspection
- Experience of operating Mitutoyo and Aberlink CMM Machines (desirable)
- Be IT literate
Working Hours:
- Double day shift (39 hours a week)
- Early shift: Monday to Thursday: 06.00 am - 14.00 pm / Friday:06.00 am - 13.00 pm
- Late shift: Monday to Thursday: 14.00 pm - 22.15 pm / Friday: 13.00 pm - 19.00 pm
