We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Business Development Manager to join our ambitious client. As a global logistics provider, they offer tailor-made solutions via air, ocean, and road. The ideal candidate will increase brand awareness, introduce new customers, grow a book of business, and help expand presence in the UK. Acting as a logistics consultant, you will add value to our clients' businesses by recognising service opportunities and supply chain efficiencies.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Continuously introduce new clients to all services.
  • Seamlessly integrate new clients within the company.
  • Develop and refine SOPs for each client with Commercial and Operations teams.
  • Utilise teams and infrastructure to source solutions for clients.
  • Introduce key members of the Commercial and Operations teams to the clients.
  • Work with the Commercial team to convert opportunities to agreed service provision.
  • Re-introduce services to dormant accounts.
  • Attend relevant trade events and networks.
  • Maintain regular contact with clients to ensure we are meeting their requirements and maximising opportunities.
  • Represent values professionally and maintain consistency of branding and messages.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in Imports or Exports Operational roles.
  • Knowledge of customs documentation, certificates, licences, and general Customs Compliance.
  • Understanding of Tariffs, Bonded customs, Special/Simplified Customs Procedures, AEO Procedures, and Inco Terms.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Good problem-solving skills and geographical knowledge.
  • Great customer service skills.
