12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Training - For the first 8 weeks of your training you will be required to be in the office full time, after which you could move to Hybrid working.

We're on the look out for Technical Helpdesk Advisors to join us at our Kingswinford Office. Our Meter Technicians are part of our Smart Field Connections business supporing the roll-out and installation of Smart Meters which is a key part of E.ON leading the energy transition to net zero. As a Technical Helpdesk Advisor you'll be the first point of contact for our Meter Technicians who are out in the field serving our customers. you'll provide technical support inculding configuration of meters, smart meter scheming issues amonst other things. You will also work on a variety of administrative tasks to support the day-to-day operations and to provide excellent customer service, to both internal and external customers.

Here's what else you'll be doing

  • Act as a focal point for key internal and external stakeholders, providing responses to their queries, and directing / escalating these to the technical help desk team manager when needed.
  • Ensure key tasks from management are completed against agreed timescales and escalate as appropriate.
  • Maintain and update records / reports and identify any risks or faults and follow up/escalate where required.
  • Liaise with IT teams to complete data fixes to enable Smart Meter Installs to complete.
  • Ensure that all issues raised are documented / tracked effectively to ensure that there is a robust method of tracking through to full resolution and excalation
  • Identify areas for improvement in your processes to enable ongoing benefits, aligned with the culture of continuous improvement.
  • Participating in user acceptance testing/live proving to support systems enhancements.
  • Assist in the integration of new processes and initiatives and deliver continual improvement.

  • Proven Customer Service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills plus excellent numerical skills
  • Highly developed personal organisation skills encompassing a high degree of accuracy and good attention to detail.
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Drive, enthusiasm, and ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Ability to exercise initiative, judgement and to make decisions within the scope of the role.
  • Ability to prioritise work effectively and to assume responsibility without direct supervision.
