We are partnering with a prestigious Manchester City Centre based client to source an Assistant Financial Controller to support the Financial Controller in all financial aspects for this dual site business.

This is a finance role for a 'people person'!

This role sits in a small, friendly finance team of just 3 people and will suit a highly experienced Accounts Assistant / Assistant Accountant who is ready to embrace more responsibility.

You'll be working in a really collaborative leisure/hospitality sector business which is all about creating a fantastic environment and exceptional experiences for customers. Your colleagues across the business are a warm and friendly bunch and we are looking for a similar vibrant personality - the finance office door will always be open for you to liaise with your colleagues and support and advise them on all finance matters.

In this role you'll work very closely with the FC, becoming their right hand person; enjoying excellent coaching and development and being empowered to step up when needed!

The role is fully office based in a fabulous building, at an unbeatable location to access public transport and the buzz of all the city has to offer.

You'll manage costs, cashflow, update forecasts and produce accounts in this varied role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Month-end duties
  • Payroll Processing and Forecasting,
  • Revenue Forecasting
  • Overheads Forecast and Overheads control,
  • Stock Controls
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Month End for Purchase Ledger
  • Budgets
  • Ledger management
  • Check Daily Audit Pack
  • Assist in achieving non-financial targets
  • Perform other duties as required.
