Accounts Payable Clerk

**Overview

We have a fantastic opportunity with our well-respected clients based in Solihull. They are looking for someone to join their Accounts Payable team in a long-term temporary position. They are looking for someone bright and switched on, because although some experience in Accounts Payable would be great, what's most important to them is team fit!

The successful Accounts Payable clerk will help manage the AP processes assisting senior staff that look after multiple sites in a region. The role will include statement reconciliation, processing invoices and confidently handling queries, preparing the weekly payment run and setting up new accounts! Previous experience in purchase ledger would be beneficial, but not vital because they are happy to go all in and train the right candidate.

**Skills Required

  • Although training can be provided, knowledge of basic accounting duties would be beneficial, this can come from a degree, an equivalent qualification or entry-level role
  • Be a team player with great communication skills and be confident following your own initiative
  • Be confident using Microsoft Excel as this will be used on a daily basis and therefore including the use of functions like V-Lookups
  • Be immediately available or on a short notice, because our client is keen to get someone in ASAP
