The Integration and Development Team are an integral part of our wider IT & Digital Service within Surrey County Council. Our team provides the technical expertise to design and develop integrations between major business critical IT systems. We also design and develop complex web applications used by staff and the residents of Surrey. Our web applications use the latest .Net Core framework, whilst our integrations are based on the Boomi Integration Platform.

We work directly with customers and 3rd party suppliers across the business, analysing business processes and delivering solutions in an Agile environment aimed at improving efficiency and lowering costs. We are a friendly and close-knit team and actively encourage each other to learn and share new technologies and methodologies and adopt them into our team standards.

You will be designing and developing applications with an API-first approach using Clean architecture with a strong emphasis on reliability, security, maintainability, and accessibility. Your .Net and Integration platform experience will enable you to select the appropriate technology platform for specific projects and contribute to team standards to continually improve our service.

Your self-starter mentality and initiative will enable you to quickly evaluate and propose pragmatic and cost-effective solutions, whilst your interpersonal skills and team player mentality will be essential as you work with many different teams of varying technical prowess throughout the organisation to provide value for money for the residents of Surrey.

The ability to multitask is essential as your work will involve not only the development of new applications, but also responding to customer queries about existing applications, providing expert consultancy, and evaluating new projects.
