Location: Hinckley, Leicestershire

Reporting to : Operations Manager

Hours of Work – 40hrs/week – Mon-Fri – 9am – 7pm (flexible working pattern, minimum 3 days in the office)

Salary - £24k+ subject to experience and uncapped commission.

The Role

As a Mortgage Administrator in this growing Fintech company, you will be supporting a team of mortgage brokers and will be responsible for case progression from application to completion. You will liaise with customers, lenders, estate agents, solicitors, and brokers within the customer journey to ensure a smooth transaction.

You will have the opportunity to increase your earnings by selling Buildings and Contents policies, surveys, solicitors, obtaining five-star reviews on Trustpilot and re-booking clients for protection reviews that lead to sales. You will also have the opportunity of learning and developing towards a future career as a mortgage broker.

At a glance

  • Daily liaison with the brokers within in your team
  • Submit any new business to the lenders in an efficient, timely and accurate way
  • Working closely between lender, broker & customer to achieve a speedy mortgage offer
  • Be a key point of contact for customers once an application has been made to assist with the updates on case progression
  • To assist in taking potential broker fees/valuations fees for applications via online payment system
  • Accurately capture and record information, ensuring all records are kept up to date regarding applications submitted
  • Sell and apply for Buildings & Contents (B&C) policies for clients introduced to Scout

Ideal qualities

  • Confident and professional communication skills, including verbal and written
  • Ability to work both individually and collaboratively to achieve agreed targets
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Excellent eye and attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills
  • Confidence and ability to pitch, present and close for winning B&C business
  • In depth understanding of the mortgage application process, and how to progress a case from application to offer
  • Experience with multi-lender packaging preferable
  • Experience with Mortgage Advice Bureau systems and requirements desirable but not essential.
