About the Role:
SF Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and experienced Transport Supervisor for a fantastic business based in North Nottingham. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary of £28,000 to £32,000. The role requires flexibility to work on a rotating shift pattern, with shifts alternating weekly between 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm.
The successful candidate will have a commercial understanding to ensure all operations are executing efficiently and cost effectively to ensure healthy business performance, at the same as ensuring driver welfare and maintaining client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the transport department.
- Coordinate and schedule transport routes to ensure timely deliveries.
- Supervise a team of drivers, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and compliance with safety regulations.
- Monitor and maintain transport-related documentation, including delivery notes, driver logs, and vehicle maintenance records.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimise logistics processes and improve efficiency.
- Address and resolve any issues or challenges related to transportation operations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety standards and legal requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in a transport or logistics supervisory role.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Familiarity with transport regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts.
- Proficiency in relevant software and systems used in transport management.
