A highly successful services business has partnered with NET Recruit, to search the market for an interim Credit Controller within the Ringwood area for a
6-month fixed term contract
- Servicing both commercial and domestic clients, this business has been providing unique and attentive offerings for a number of years and has built up a strong client base which they continue to grow.
This role is paramount to the financial stability of the business and the position holder will have responsibility for conducting Credit Control duties within a timely manner and to a high standard at all times.
Your Roles and Responsibilities:
- Contacting customers by making phone calls daily and also writing emails/letters for due and overdue balances
- Solving payment disputes and communicating with clients where necessary to secure prompt payment(s) and taking action to ensure that debtor balances are within agreed terms
- Promptly identifying, recording, and following up any customer queries with colleagues to ensure these are resolved effectively
- Striving to minimise company risk of overdue balances as proactively as possible
- Preparing accounts for liquidators and also repossession agents when required
- Implementing and documenting payment plans
- Perform against targets individually whilst contributing to the overall productivity of the team, ensuring that monthly targets are met
- Attending monthly debtor review meetings alongside other team members to discuss progress and current cashflow picture
- Producing monthly and weekly statements
What you will need to Apply:
The ideal candidate for this role will have previous credit control experience and also possess very strong communication skills in speaking with members of the public and businesses, potentially in difficult conversations, both over the phone and via email/letter. You will need to be organised and analytical and have a good solution-focused method to your approach in order to address issues as they arrive and ensure that the business keeps moving forwards financially. Applicants must excel in data entry, ensuring that accurate records and actions are maintained.
As this role is a contract position, applicants must be immediately available or have a very short notice period and be happy to embark in a temporary position.

For the successful candidate, a remuneration offering of up to £32,000 is available and this opportunity will provide fantastic hands-on exposure within the credit control field, widening the successful applicant's experience and knowledge base and giving them the opportunity to develop their skills further in order to lay a good foundation of abilities for future opportunities.
