We are seeking a dedicated Receptionist to be a key part of the reception and administrative teams for our client. The ideal candidate will be professional, adaptable, and have a positive attitude, capable of managing a variety of tasks and engaging effectively with visitors, staff, and students.
Day to Day of the role:
- Serve as the first point of contact at the reception, greeting and directing visitors in a welcoming and secure manner.
- Manage gate entry systems, answer telephone calls, and liaise with Site Services as required.
- Monitor the camera system to support safeguarding measures.
- Oversee the work of receptionists and manage external communication to parents and carers.
- Maintain the Reception area to ensure it is appealing and appropriate.
- Organise tours and handle post.
- Perform typing and spreadsheet work, ensuring compliance with GDPR.
- Undertake general administrative tasks as directed and assist with primary attendance.
- Manage lost property and liaise with staff to host visitors effectively.
- Cover for other reception staff when necessary and assist with display materials.
- Create staff badges for events and serve as a First Aider.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in a similar role within a school or large organisation.
- Professional demeanour with excellent telephone and communication skills.
- Adaptable approach to work and proficient IT skills, including high-level typing.
- Understanding of secondary school systems.
- Friendly, calm personality with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to maintaining the Academy's distinctive and inclusive Christian ethos.
