Our client has earned a global reputation for the design and manufacture of furniture solutions for high technology and office environments and currently seek an experienced designer to work on projects from initial brief through to installation on site.
You will be part of a strong Design Team, producing all necessary design and technical documentation, as well as assisting Project Managers, to ensure project delivery.
Responsibilities of the Product Designer:
- Liaising with clients, suppliers and the in-house team
- Sharing knowledge of product in definition, design, manufacture and supply
- Using SolidWorks and AutoCAD for rapid turnaround of deliverables
- Quality control checks and attending snagging meetings
- Direct reporting to Head of Design and Projects, providing an overview of project stage when required
Skills and Experience needed for the Product Designer role:
- 5-10 years' experience working within a design team / company
- Several years' experience delivering projects from initial concepts, through to final installation
- Fluent in SolidWorks 3D modelling, 2D AutoCAD 2D drawings, and Keyshot rendering
- Experience using parametric modelling
- Able to create BoM drawings from 3D assemblies, they use FileMaker
This will be an on-site based role, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm and in return they offer:
Salary between £45k and £50k, quarterly paid bonus, pension, free parking and 23 days holidays (rising to 25 after 5 years) plus bank holidays.
