Bookkeeper - Accounting firm

Butler Rose, public practice is delighted to be supporting our client, a well-established and prominent firm of accountants that are eager to recruit a capable practice experienced Bookkeeper to complement the existing team.
Role Requirements -
- Ideally working in a professional accountancy practice environment, you will have proven experience of supporting a diverse client portfolio as well as being highly proficient in the use of cloud-based software such as XERO, Quickbooks and Sage.
- Supporting a diverse portfolio of clients, responsible for bookkeeping, VAT returns, management accounts (if applicable) and other assignments required by clients
- Reviewing the work completed by junior members of the team
- Reviewing and monitoring of accounting and system related reports for accuracy.
- Liaising with clients directly to resolve queries or obtain further information as appropriate.
- Working in close collaboration with the firms Partners and Managers
- Maintaining and developing solid client relations
- Undertaking research/ad hoc projects as appropriate
Person Requirements -
- Consideration will be given to those that are qualified by experience or AAT qualified or late stages
- Ideally practice experience in a similar role to include solid bookkeeping experience of at least 3+ years
- Strong IT skills and knowledge of cloud accounting systems in particular Xero, Quickbooks, Sage
