MERITUS are recruiting for Aircraft fitters to join our client in Darwen on an initial 6-month contract to work on exciting aerospace programmes.
You will be approved fitter who will undertake all aspects of detail fitting in relation to the manufacture of aircraft components.
Responsibilities
- Perform Fitting duties including riveting, drilling and sealing.
- Use handheld and air powered tools.
- Work with small to medium-sized precision components.
- Ensure the detail fitting and production of aircraft components is accurate, complies with specifications and meets timed deadlines.
- Maintain compliance to all master processes and associated documents, ensuring industry standards are upheld in the production of components.
- Adhere to Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People procedures.
- Keep records accurate and up to date.
Skillset/experience required:
- Grade C or above in GCSE (or equivalent) Math's and English.
- 3 years plus fitting and assembly experience.
- Experience of aircraft fitting of detail parts.
- Ability to read or interpret technical engineering drawings.
Desirable
- Qualified to HNC/HND/OND/ONC or degree level in relevant subject
