About Us

We're Imperial Health Charity, an organisation that helps our hospitals do more through grants, arts, volunteering, and fundraising. We support the five hospitals of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust: Charing Cross, Hammersmith, Queen Charlotte's & Chelsea, St Mary's, and the Western Eye.

We are now looking for a Philanthropy Manager to join us on a full-time basis for a 12-month fixed-term contract.

You will play a pivotal role in helping our hospitals achieve more for patients, families, and the local community, by securing significant donations and fostering long-term relationships with key supporters.

The Role

As a Philanthropy Manager, you will lead on securing major gifts from individuals, trusts, corporates, and statutory bodies.

You will deliver impactful stewardship to your donor portfolio, ensuring long-term engagement.

Working collaboratively with colleagues across the charity and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, you will oversee fundraising campaigns from inception through to delivery and evaluation.

You will achieve your own targets, monitor progress against KPIs, and ensure compliance with fundraising best practices.

Additionally, you will:

- Create compelling and high-quality written materials, including funding applications and impact reports
- Deliver bespoke events for major supporters
- Engage NHS staff in our grateful patient programme to build relationships
- Develop and implement mitigation strategies to overcome identified risks in income generation
- Monitor income against your portfolio

About You

To be considered as a Philanthropy Manager, you will need:

- Experience of securing five-figure-plus gifts from major supporters
- Experience managing and developing information on a CRM database
- A strong understanding of Institute of Fundraising (IoF) policies and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of numeracy and ability to create detailed budgets for fundraising proposals
- A collaborative and inclusive approach, with the ability to inspire and motivate stakeholders
