Product Manager
Reporting to the Head of Bespoke Product
Based in Twickenham - Public Transport only
Hybrid - 1 day from home per week
Job Purpose: Manage and organise product design and development from pitch to production, while improving margins and driving cost efficiencies.
Part of a small team this opportunity offers growth and scope to develop.
Responsibilities
Key Tasks
Product Development Critical Path
- Create and manage creative life-cycle critical path with key milestones and track progress using Monday.com
- Be the central point of contact for all creative and product questions
- Assign responsibilities to appropriate resources and ensure all tasks are completed on time
- Understand and streamline workflows within the product range
- Set clear priorities for all creative departments and be the go-to person to troubleshoot conflicts
- Provide regular updates to account teams throughout the process
Project Resource & Profit
- Compile product data to support building pitches based on previous season selections and areas of growth and decline
- Support Key Account Managers with product expertise during selections
- Coordinate mock-up requirements and timelines
- Provide the Product Development (PD) team with target prices based on RRP, box sizes, customer, region, etc.
- Drive cost efficiencies for all PD within assigned accounts
- Estimate factory cost for reorders and product refreshes and find ways to reduce cost on items with low margins
- Collaborate with Design and Content to prioritise tasks for assigned ranges and accounts
- Help Product Developers resolve material, factory, compliance, and other issues during the product development process
- Drive final negotiations with suppliers on overall order values to meet company targets
Product Development
- Collaborate on new product ideas or re-purpose current products and formats
- Specify and request components and white box samples
- Ensure proper function and best pack out for all products
- Brief the design team and sign off on artwork prior to sending to the factory
- Select factories and products that are compatible with customer technical and audit requirements
- Sign off pre-production and mass samples
- Use company product database (SpecRight) effectively and log all product specifications accurately
