We are seeking a Strategy and Performance Analyst to join a client of ours within the transport sector, reporting directly to the CEO of the division. This role is pivotal in analysing data across the division, providing insights to inform strategic decision-making, and enhancing the efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability of their transport operations. The ideal candidate will be involved in strategic planning, performance management, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement to support our organisational goals.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Prepare detailed performance reports for the Board and senior management, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
  • Review and analyse key performance indicators such as on-time performance, cost per mile, revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Benchmark organisational performance against industry standards and best practices.
  • Identify inefficiencies in operations and recommend process improvements to reduce costs and enhance service quality.
  • Analyse and optimise the allocation of resources, including vehicles, personnel, and routes.
  • Perform detailed cost analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance financial performance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather insights, communicate strategic objectives, and align efforts.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in transportation strategy and performance management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Transportation Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in strategic development, performance analysis, or a related field, preferably within the transport industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to present complex data and insights in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
