Here at Innovative Technology, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join us based in Oldham.

Our Opportunity

The purpose of the role is to take the lead of Quality Assurance across Innovative Technology, to support our business through our current sustained period of growth and beyond. Managing an existing team, you'll add further value through the maintenance and further development of quality systems, processes and policies.

In this varied position, you will be engaging with all departments to develop and maintain quality controls and systems to ensure our products reach our customers to the specification and level of quality they expect.

As our Quality Assurance Manager, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Leading & supporting the Quality team in ITL
  • Providing support & direction to the Global Quality teams
  • Developing and maintaining the QMS compliant to ISO9001
  • Ensuring product inspections are conducted as required
  • Providing weekly and monthly reports to the board
  • Promoting a quality culture within the business
  • Authorising concessions to allow the production and shipment of components and products
  • Managing the quarantine and containment of components and products
  • Facilitating RCA workshops, drive continuous improvements to process and products
  • Support Logistics with the assessment of new and current suppliers
  • Supporting the business with Sustainability strategy
  • Authorising changes to the BMS
  • Ensuring Quality related objectives are met
  • Supporting Production with process control improvements
  • Facilitate quality improvement project meetings (3r's)
  • Facilitate the development and review of FMEA's and Control Plans with Product Development, NPI and Production
  • Take responsibility for production process improvement
  • Take responsibility for EOL repair and rework (combine data from QUAL, RMA and EOL to drive product improvement with CI)

Skills & Experience required to become our Quality Assurance Manager:

Essential:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent in Quality Management, Engineering or Science discipline
  • Experience of managing a team of Quality Professionals in medium to high volume manufacturing
  • Trained Six Sigma Green belt or above
  • Knowledge of and experience in maintaining ISO9001 QMS
  • Literate with Office 365 applications
  • Excellent understanding the 7 tools of Quality
  • Must be able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Competent Lead Internal Auditor with experience of planning and executing internal and external audits
  • Expected to be adaptable and have willingness to change and embrace change in their role
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experienced in creating and analysing outputs from inspection and reporting on their findings
  • Excellent time management
  • Experienced in reading and understanding technical drawings and specifications
  • Ability to understand and communicate complex technical issues and drive problem resolution
  • Experience in developing and maintaining FMEA's and Control Plans and PPAP

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of PLM Software and 3D CAD packages
  • Experience using Jira project management software
