Fabric Engineer - Iconic Stadium Contract

Posted by Insight Executive Group Limited.

We're partnering with a global facilities-management provider on behalf of a major London stadium contract. They're seeking an experienced Fabric Engineer to join the on-site team and deliver high-quality building-fabric maintenance across this world-class venue.

About the Role

As Fabric Engineer, you'll take ownership of both planned and reactive fabric-maintenance tasks to ensure the stadium's structure, finishes, and interiors remain in pristine condition. From small repairs and preventative inspections to event-day preparations, your work underpins the venue's reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute PPM schedules for building fabric elements (roofing, cladding, joinery, plasterwork, decoration)
  • Diagnose and remedy fabric defects—cracks, leaks, damaged finishes, door/window malfunctions
  • Carry out minor carpentry, plastering, painting, tiling, and flooring repairs
  • Support event set-up and post-event tear-down maintenance tasks
  • Record all work orders and update asset-management systems (CAFM) with accuracy
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety, security and site protocols
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors and operations staff to deliver seamless service

Your Profile

  • NVQ/CITY & GUILDS Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in Building Maintenance, Joinery, Carpentry or related trade
  • Proven fabric-maintenance experience in high-footfall/public-venue or commercial environments
  • Hands-on skills across carpentry, plastering, painting, tiling and remedial works
  • Sound understanding of building-envelope systems (roof, façade, insulation)
  • CAFM proficiency and strong record-keeping discipline
  • Flexible approach to shift patterns, including event-driven early starts, late finishes and occasional weekends
  • Strong communicator with a safety-first mindset

What's on Offer

  • Overtime Available
  • Work at one of London's flagship stadiums and play a direct role in major events
  • Overtime opportunities, skills training, and clear career progression within a global FM leader
  • A supportive team culture and the chance to develop multi-disciplinary expertise
