Senior Frontend Game Developer

Are you a seasoned Frontend Developer with a flair for creating captivating user experiences?

We are working with a client who are at the forefront of the casino game development industry, crafting games that not only entertain but captivate and engage players across the globe. The team is driven by innovation, creativity, and the pursuit of a great user experience, and they are looking for a like-minded Senior Frontend Game Developer to join the team.

Previous experience as a developer in the casino gaming industry is a must. This will be a predominantly remote role with the occasional trip to the office in Oxford every few months.

What you get:

  • £60,000-£100,000 annual salary, we are flexible on salary for the right candidate.
  • 20% quarterly bonus dependent on performance.

What you'll be doing:

  • Implement and fine-tune high-quality, optimised code to ensure the ultimate user experience.
  • Work collaboratively with our creative department to ensure timely, defect-free delivery of casino slot games.
  • Partner with designers and fellow developers to ensure games perform flawlessly across all platforms, including mobile and desktop.
  • Drive technology decisions and contribute to architecture discussions, advocating for best practices.

What you need:

  • Experience working with HTML5 and TypeScript in both mobile and desktop environments.
  • Proficiency in animation techniques using WebGL or Canvas 2D APIs and have solid experience with GIT.
  • Experience with PixiJS, Phaser, or other JavaScript gaming/animation frameworks.
  • Knowledge of CSS, PostCSS, and SASS/SCSS, along with CSS frameworks like TailwindCSS and Bootstrap.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript build tools (e.g., Gulp, Vite, Rollup) and logging/analysis tools (e.g., Elasticsearch, Rollbar, Sentry).
  • Previous experience developing casino games is a must.
