Data Administrator
Location: Raynesway, Derby
Contract: 3-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Salary: Up to £15.38 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm, 4 days in the office, 1 day from home
About the Role:
Severn Trent is seeking a skilled Data Administrator to join the team on a 3-month contract basis at their Raynesway location in Derby. This role is essential in supporting our Flow Compliance Technicians in maintaining regulatory standards and ensuring accurate data reporting. As a Data Administrator, you will play a critical role in the accurate and timely development of regulatory reporting, data management, and analysis to support compliance with environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret PowerBI dashboards, TeRI BI reports, and eSCADA trends to identify and address potential issues across various sites.
- Update, analyze, and manage flow data spreadsheets to detect and mitigate compliance risks.
- Ensure data accuracy and reliability, aligning with regulatory guidance and requirements.
- Assist in environmental flow compliance tracking and contribute to regular regulatory reporting.
- Maintain and improve the MCERTS database, ensuring that all required data is held centrally and can be reported effectively.
- Collaborate with the Flow Compliance team to investigate and resolve data gaps and flow risks.
- Support the improvement of reporting processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience and Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and statistical analysis.
- Understanding and experience with PowerBI.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and draw actionable conclusions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Proactive problem-solving approach and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Technical/process knowledge of wastewater is beneficial but not essential.
Qualifications:
- Essential: Advanced IT skills, particularly in Excel (intermediate and advanced).
- Desirable: Knowledge of Severn Trent systems such as TeRI BI & eSCADA, SAP ECC experience, and a good understanding of wastewater processes.
