Location: Prestwick, Ayrshire

Salary: Very Competitive + Excellent Benefits

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent (12-hour shifts)

The Client:

Our client is a well-established engineering firm, offering services, including workshop facilities, aircraft modification programs, and tooling hire services.

The Role:

As a Mechanic, you will collaborate with the leading mechanic and certifier on assigned zones / aircraft.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and non-routine maintenance tasks using approved documentation and procedures.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety and Human Factors best practices.
  • Complete all paperwork to required standards in line with the MOE.
  • Maintain cleanliness in personal work areas, hangar bays, and facilities.
  • Report significant findings promptly.
  • Raise safety reports for any hazards or incidents.
  • Undertake additional duties as requested.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Recognised apprenticeship in the aircraft industry or similar.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in Line Maintenance activities.
  • Ability to work shift patterns, including nights.
  • Skilled in written and spoken English for technical interactions.
  • Right to work in the UK.

Good to have:

  • Experience with Airbus and Boeing commercial aircraft (desirable)
  • UKCAA/EASA Part 147 training (beneficial).
