Specialist Hire Coordinator

We have an exciting opportunity for a Hire Coordinator to work for our well-established, thriving and growing client based in Hoddesdon. Working full-time onsite from 8.00am - 5pm (30-minute break) and 7.30am - 12.00pm (2 Saturdays per month). This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a busy and friendly organisation where your role will be varied and interesting. This position offers a salary of £32,000 - £34,000 depending on experience.

Job Description:

  • Hire enquiries, quotes (ascertaining client requirements by phone and email)
  • Quoting and sourcing
  • Using hire software (Prohire - training will be given)
  • Taking payments from regular hirers
  • Follow hire damage processes
  • Checking hire in and out
  • Managing hire bookings
  • Sourcing drivers/logistics including trains and best time for these to reduce cost (involves an employed and self-employed driver pool)
  • Awareness of legislation (training will be given)
  • Driving licence checks
  • Test movements
  • Liaising with departments on maintenance movements, breakdown and damage
  • Back-up for hire (taking calls, dealing with customers)
  • Assisting with front desk Saturday rota (2 Saturday's in 4)
  • Cover Hatfield site occasionally when required to help out (staff sickness or holiday)

Skills / Attributes:

  • Flexible (may be required to work late occasionally to get jobs set up for the next day)

  • Proactive
  • Good communication skills
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Driving licence (preferred but not essential)
  • Logistics experience (essential)
