Position: Senior Site Manager

Location: Surrey, with operations in Berkshire, Surrey, and West London

Salary: £60,000 to £75,000 + Car Allowance + Pension

About: Our client is a highly regarded regional Tier Two contractor based in Surrey. The company excels in delivering high-quality projects, typically up to £25 million, across various sectors including education, Ministry of Defence (MoD), healthcare, commercial, and leisure, with a strong presence in Berkshire, Surrey, and West London.

Role Overview: This dynamic and growing contractor is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Site Manager to join their team. You will play a key role in the delivery of a £25 million care home project in Surrey, which includes an RC frame structure and will provide over 75 beds. As a Senior Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site activities, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager with experience in similar large-scale projects to step up into a more senior role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee the work of subcontractors and site staff to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor project progress and manage project schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Provide regular updates and detailed reports to senior management.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise on-site.
  • Ensure the site is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, orderliness, and security.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager, ideally with experience on large-scale projects in the care home or accommodation sector
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, including RC frame structures, and health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage complex tasks and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach.
  • Relevant qualifications in construction management or a related field.
  • CSCS card, SMSTS, and First Aid at Work certification.
