Our client, a forward thinking, independent firm of Chartered Accountants are seeking an Accounts Semi-Senior to join their growing practice in Uckfield.
The role will involve dealing with the accounts for a mixed portfolio of clients including LLP's and Partnerships.
Duties will include:-
- Preparing client accounts and statutory accounts and drafting tax computations
- Drafting corporate tax returns
- Compiling profit and loss accounts, balance sheets of assets and liabilities and trial balance accounts
- Draft reports covering financial statements, client business issues, systems and controls
- Liaise closely with clients and other stakeholders, keeping the relevant manager/supervisor informed of developments
You will ideally have at least 2 years practice experience, with a strong accounts background and working towards a professional qualification such as ACCA/ACA and study support is offered if required.
An understanding of accounting standards, double entry accounting and bookkeeping, statutory and management accounts would also be an advantage, along with a good working knowledge of Caseware, Sage, Quickbooks, Xero, Alphatax and CCH systems.
