We are seeking an experienced HR Manager / Generalist to join a leading manufacturing company based in Halifax, West Yorkshire. This standalone role offers the opportunity to work autonomously, managing all HR-related activities on-site with the flexibility to work one day from home. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR within a manufacturing and safety environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the site regarding all HR-related issues.
  • Implement and review HR policies and procedures in line with employment law legislation.
  • Advise on employee relation issues including disciplinary and grievance cases, performance management, and sickness absence management.
  • Liaise with Trade Union representatives.
  • Lead HR strategic projects including annual talent reviews, succession planning, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, and Well-Being initiatives.
  • Manage Time and Attendance and oversee payroll processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a standalone HR generalist role.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or similar environment.
  • Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage various projects simultaneously.
