Salary: M3 - UP3 + TLR 2 (competitive)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4pm

Tradewind are looking to appoint a SENCO on behalf of a progressive and vibrant 1 form entry primary school.

This London based primary school are looking to appoint a strong SENCO to join their SEN team from September 2024 to the end of the academic year on a full-time basis.

About the role:

  • Special Education Needs Coordination: Lead and oversee the school's SEN provision, ensuring that students with special educational needs receive the support they require.
  • Individual Education Plans (IEPs): Develop and implement personalized IEPs for students with SEN, working closely with teachers, parents, and external specialists.
  • Collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration among teachers, support staff, parents, and outside agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
  • Monitoring Progress: Regularly assess and monitor the progress of students with SEN, adjusting strategies and interventions as needed to promote their academic and personal development.
  • Training and Guidance: Provide guidance and training to teachers and support staff on effective strategies for inclusive teaching and working with students with SEN.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate records of students with SEN, ensuring that relevant documentation is up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and SENCO qualification.
  • Experience working as a SENCO or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of SEN regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead, inspire, and collaborate effectively.
  • Organized and detail-oriented approach to managing SEN processes and documentation.
