Tradewind are looking to appoint a SENCO on behalf of a progressive and vibrant 1 form entry primary school.
This London based primary school are looking to appoint a strong SENCO to join their SEN team from September 2024 to the end of the academic year on a full-time basis.
About the role:
- Special Education Needs Coordination: Lead and oversee the school's SEN provision, ensuring that students with special educational needs receive the support they require.
- Individual Education Plans (IEPs): Develop and implement personalized IEPs for students with SEN, working closely with teachers, parents, and external specialists.
- Collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration among teachers, support staff, parents, and outside agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
- Monitoring Progress: Regularly assess and monitor the progress of students with SEN, adjusting strategies and interventions as needed to promote their academic and personal development.
- Training and Guidance: Provide guidance and training to teachers and support staff on effective strategies for inclusive teaching and working with students with SEN.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate records of students with SEN, ensuring that relevant documentation is up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and SENCO qualification.
- Experience working as a SENCO or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of SEN regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead, inspire, and collaborate effectively.
- Organized and detail-oriented approach to managing SEN processes and documentation.
