We have a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join our friendly and passionate team at NCHA in one of our Registered care homes working as Assistant Manager.

The Project?

Sherwood House is a 19 bed residential care home in the village of Linby, Nottinghamshire. Our beautifully refurbished period home has been fully modernised to meet the varying needs of our residents, including mobility issues, physical disabilities and lack of confidence to live independently.

The Role

We are looking for a confident, organised and dynamic individual who will be a natural leader with a real passion for improving the lives of people. In this role you will assist the Care Home Manager in managing the home. There is lots of variety to the role including the below duties:

  • Complete various audits
  • Fire testing
  • Record keeping
  • Pre admissions
  • Finances
  • Responsibility for medications
  • Ensuring home is fully staffed

As well as supporting change management within teams and deputising for the manager where necessary, you'll help to recruit, induct, support and develop colleagues; managing and evaluating performance effectively. You'll also assist in planning and administering duty rotas and review individual support plans and implement risk assessments.

We already know you'll be enthusiastic, caring and promote good work practices. It would be beneficial if you are already aware of CQC requirements, however this is not essential. You'll need to have a minimum level 2 NVQ, Diploma or Apprenticeship in Health and Social Care and a good level of numeracy, literacy and IT skills

You also need a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for this role although travel is limited.
