We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finishing Planner to join our Supply Chain Team at our Workington Mill. Joining us on a full-time, permanent basis, you will receive a competitive salary and become part of our welcoming team.

About the role:
As our Finishing Planner , you will report to the Planning & Services Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning the production of the Finishing Department. The holder of this position will be expected to work closely with the Finishing Department, Customer Service Amsterdam and O2D and base pallet and core suppliers.
Our Finishing Planner will be responsible for:
- Creating daily plans for finishing plant to achieve customer ready date – Sheeters, Rewinder and Coiler
- Ensuring plans support maximum throughput and efficiency and ensuring customer orders are ready on time and in full
- Creating daily priority sheet and co-ordinating daily with Finishing to ensure the plan is carried out
- Controlling and reporting late orders daily to customer service
- Calling off of base pallets from suppliers to meet finishing requirements
- Ordering and providing weekly call-off of cores with supplier to meet coiler requirements
- Controlling of waste when booking orders from stock (outside system waste percentage)
- Working closely with pallet suppliers to ensure a smooth flow to the mill and co-ordinating special pallet requirements
- Modifying daily plan in accordance with equipment failure, labour shortage etc
- Flexibility to provide cover for other roles within the team- Board Machine Planner and Service Co-ordinator
What we're looking for in our Finishing Planner:
- Good academic standards- Minimum A level standard
- Good communication skills written and oral
- Excellent IT skills including Excel
- Ability to cope under pressure
In addition to the above, the following is desirable:
- Excellent knowledge of Finishing processes and capabilities
- Ability to cope with changing priorities
- Good knowledge of planning systems
