External Researcher

The UK's leading genealogy firm is seeking an External Researcher, paying up to £27,000 plus benefits, to manage their off- site search requirements.

The main aim of the position is to support the companies researchers in the quest to find long lost heirs and beneficiaries through the plotting of family trees.

You will be based on-site at The Library of Birmingham going through historical birth and death certificates, census documents and marriage certificates in order to verify or discount information for the search.

This is a very unique role that would be great for someone with an interest in genealogy; you may be retired but looking to return to work; have experience working in a library or with historical archives; or even a key interest in research and solving cases. This is sole role and an ability to work autonomously is a must.
