Hours: Monday to Friday (Days) with flexibility required

A unique and niche packaging manufacturing company, currently undergoing significant growth, is seeking an experienced Area Manager to oversee a key department within the business. With a recent investment of approximately £90m for facility upgrades and modifications, this is an exciting time to join the company. You will play a critical role in managing operations while ensuring compliance with company regulations and driving improvements in safety, environmental management, and performance.
_Key Responsibilities of an Area Manager: _
- Oversee daily operations in a vital area of the manufacturing process, ensuring all activities align with company policies and procedures.
- Proactively promote and communicate the importance of effective safety and environmental management across the department.
- Ensure that company procedures are consistently applied and adhered to at all times.
- Manage and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational targets are met.
- Participate in projects related to process improvement, facility upgrades, and departmental initiatives.
- Implement and practice effective food management protocols where necessary.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives in efficiency, safety, and environmental practices.
- Lead, motivate, and develop your team to achieve production targets and operational goals.
_Ideal Area Manager will have: _
- Experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment, with strong operational and leadership skills.
- Degree in Engineering | Chemical Engineering | Chemistry
- Knowledge of safety, environmental management, and food management procedures.
- Proven ability to manage KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
- Experience participating in cross-functional projects and leading teams through change.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with an ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Flexibility to meet the needs of the business in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
