Our client an established estate agency is seeking a Service Charge Accountant to join their team.
Salary: up to £40,000 pa depending on experience
Location: Gravesend (some remote working after 6-12 months)
Benefits: 22 days per annum rising to one per year to 25 days pa

Hours: Monday - Friday 9-5:30pm
Previous experience in the preparation of statutory and service charge accounts is essential. Knowledge of ARMA and RICS regulations. High level of concentration, accuracy and attention to detail. Self-motivated with a methodical and organised approach.
Service Charge Accountant general duties
- To prepare statutory and service charge accounts for residential & commercial properties
- To upload service charge budgets based on agreed apportionments and totals
- To liaise with external auditors as part of the audit process from start to finish
- To raise service charge invoices to tenants based on uploaded budgets
- Dealing with telephone calls and any queries;
- General filing and correspondence (as required);
- Providing cover for team members (as required);
- Other duties (as required).
Service Charge Accountant skills required
- Good knowledge of ARMA and RICS regulations
- Experience of client accounting software (TRAMPS) is desirable
- Experience of client accounting software (APB) would be an advantage
- High level of concentration, accuracy and attention to detail
- Self-motivated with a methodical and organised approach
- Able to effectively prioritise and multi-task
- Excellent people and communication skills at all levels
- Dependable and flexible as well as possessing the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Proactive and able to take responsibility for own work and assist others
- Work well under pressure
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills
