Our client is a leading supplier of food manufacturing equipment and is currently seeking a Junior Machine Demonstrator based in Milton Keynes to join their rapidly growing team. They are long-established with over 50 years in the industry and are looking for someone on a full-time permanent basis. The role offers lots of growth opportunities with the potential to progress into Sales in the long term if desired.
Responsibilities of the Junior Machine Demonstrator
- Learn to demonstrate the full functionality of the manufacturing equipment to customers, setting up the machinery in various configurations.
- Assist with the set up and breakdown of machinery demonstrations and subsequent cleaning.
- Pre-test and equipment staging of machines, attachments, accessories, ingredients, parts and tools.
- Run tests, capturing the test setup information and creating detailed written reports.
- Interact with and engage customers in the live demonstrations.
- Deal with ad-hoc breakdowns, diagnose and identify issues and perform first fixes.
- Handle different types of food products including raw foods, meat, flour and eggs.
- Lift and move machinery parts weighing up to approx 2.5 tonnes using a forklift truck.
Requirements for a successful Junior Machine Live Demonstrator
- Strong Customer Service skills and a passion for a customer-facing role.
- Experience in dismantling, cleaning, reassembling and repairing food production and food packaging machinery.
- Ability to write detailed written reports.
- Aptitude for engineering and hands-on work.
- Willing to work with fresh/raw meat, in a cold and wet environment.
- Strong IT skills with experience using Word and Excel. Able to pick up new systems quickly.
- Confident, outgoing with an inquisitive mind.

Salary: £30,000
Location: Milton Keynes, 100% office based
Type of Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm with flexibility
