We are looking for an experienced Band 5/6 Mental Health Nurse with a keen sense of initiative and excellent teamwork skills to work for a well-known Mental Health Trust in Kent.
Description:
A Community Mental Health Nurse is a key member of the multidisciplinary care team, responsible for assessing, planning, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating care. The role includes communicating findings, influencing and driving change, and promoting health, best practices, patient safety, and experience. The Mental Health Nurse will be professionally accountable to the Executive Director of Nursing and the Matron/Clinical Service Manager.
Effective communication skills and self-governance are essential. You should have knowledge of high-level interventions and community assessment skills. Existing qualifications or a willingness to undertake relevant training is expected.
Experience:
- Registered with the NMC.
- One year of experience at Band 5 or above in hospital or community healthcare.
- Evidence of continued professional development appropriate to the role.
- Clear understanding of CPA and care coordination roles.
Skills:
- Good IT skills.
- Understanding of the principles of the Recovery Approach.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Understanding of interagency collaboration.
- Previous experience in the field.
