Financial Systems Manager

A prestigious London firm is seeking a Financial Systems Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a newly created role that offers the successful candidate the opportunity to significantly enhance and improve the functionality of the firm's existing financial systems.
Day to day of the role:
- Maintain and develop financial and reporting models in collaboration with the Finance team.
- Serve as the system administrator for the firm's financial systems.
- Manage a portfolio of small projects and in-house system enhancements.
- Work with the finance team to define scoping and functional requirements for new software implementations.
- Review current interfaces and procedures, proposing solutions to streamline processes, reduce manual intervention, and increase automation.
- Liaise with external software vendors to resolve software bugs and address daily system issues.
- Ensure system permissions align with delegated authorities, approval limits, and maintain segregation of duties.
- Test and document internal processes and procedures to ensure smooth transition to business as usual (BAU).
- Respond to day-to-day technical queries and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Provide ad hoc financial support and analysis when necessary.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent).
- A strong background in financial systems management and enhancement.
- Proven experience in financial modelling and reporting.
- Excellent project management skills for handling a portfolio of enhancements.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to propose effective solutions.
- Good communication skills for liaising with both internal teams and external vendors.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of financial control and process efficiency.
