IT Project Manager 1 year FTC - Kings Cross Estate

Purpose of the Role

To work closely with the Digital Infrastructure and Innovation Manager, implement and maintain effective management systems and procedures in the delivery and continuity of service of the Digital Infrastructure throughout the Kings Cross Estate.

Led on co-ordinate and project management of key Infrastructure and Innovation projects, CAPEX and OPEX projects, running to schedule and budget.

This includes, but is not limited to, Electronic Security Systems, Data Systems, Broadband Services, Helpdesk upgrade project Network Services, and wider business for e.g. welfare upgrade works.

To protect, enhance and expand the landlord's digital assets within the buildings and across KX Estate.

To support the process of advancing the Kings Cross Estate from a Digital perspective, specifying, selecting, trialling, and implementing digital innovation as part of the long-term tech strategy for the estate, ensuring compatibility and systems synergies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project coordination: Attending meetings with contractors and understanding requirements for delivering the project. Assisting with contractor access and making sure they have the required access permits in place. If necessary, assist with escorting contractors to the required areas to do their work.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and schedules. Ensure alignment with business objectives and stakeholder requirements.
  • Create and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and financial efficiency. Monitor and report on project expenditure.
  • Capturing requests from Argent and working with the Digital Infrastructure and Innovation Manager to establish a plan for work to commence. This will include scoping work, getting quotes from suppliers, and putting a plan together to present back to Argent.
  • Contract Management: Attend monthly meetings with associated contractors, suppliers and members of the wider Property & Asset Management Teams. Monitor, analyse and interpret the correct functioning of the Estate's Digital Systems. Carry out random checks of critical systems operation. Review Contractors' reports and any proposals. Conduct regular audits and inspections of all systems, related areas and equipment. Review contractor's proposals and works to ensure optimum level of service to tenants and systems. Attend site during installations and essential works as necessary. Attend site as necessary in the event of any emergency work or call out.
  • Provide day-to-day technical and operational support (with respect to digital systems) to Digital Infrastructure and Innovation Manager, Property and Retail Managers, Occupiers and Retailors. Support Property Managers with Permit to Work System and check method statements where appropriate. Liaise with Property Managers and occupiers/retailors regarding operational and technical matters.
  • Work with the Digital Innovation and Infrastructure Manager assisting with implementation, management and development of a planned maintenance system, ensuring information, equipment history, drawings and technical information is accurate and up to date. Develop and maintain the buildings / estate asset register. Review and develop site-specific maintenance tasks. Ensure drawing and O & M's are updated to reflect any changes carried out to the installed systems. Develop, implement and maintain site-specific equipment replacement Programme. In conjunction with budgetary control.
  • To ensure that the Digital Innovation and Infrastructure Manager is regularly appraised of any new developments or issues of a problematic nature. Report on any emergency incident that occurs. Report on any concerns relating to equipment operation. Report on any tenant relationship-related issue. Report any issue that could or will involve the HSE or EHO.
  • To ensure that the Digital Infrastructure and Systems are fully operational and maintained as per the Manufacturer's guidance and current best practices. Report on any concerns relating to plant operation. Monitor and ensure the ongoing performance of the network, capacity to scale with new systems, and future proof of the infrastructure. Manage the development, commissioning, and maintenance of the APIs and systems integrations. Support the development of automation projects and data analytics / dashboards. Liaise with Savills Central Systems Support as required regarding contract specifications, maintenance regimes, auditing, equipment upgrades, documenting changes, etc. Ensure maintenance contracts are in place
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the smooth execution of projects. Ensure resource availability and allocation.
  • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, risks, and issues. Facilitate stakeholder engagement and ensure satisfaction.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered with high standards of quality and meet regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation. Prepare and present detailed reports on project status, progress, and outcomes.
  • To provide sickness or leave cover as and when required.
  • To undertake ad hoc duties as requested.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • A basic understanding of Digital Systems such as (not exhaustive); CCTV, Air Quality Systems, Commercial BMS systems, Access Control, Footfall systems, , networking and data storage systems.
  • Minimum 4 years experience managing such systems in an Estate or high quality residential or commercial environment.
  • Hands on project management experience overseeing the specification, tendering, implementation and ongoing monitoring/supporting of Digital Networking systems.
  • Project Management certification in PRINCE2 or PMP at minimum foundation level, practitioner level will be added benefit.
  • Good communication skills able to work with different stake holders.
  • Understanding of tools like office365 and project management / task management tools like Asana.

Working Hours - 37.5hrs. One year fixed term contract.

This is a site-based role and you will be on-site for 5 days/week.

Salary - £35,000 - £40,000 DoE
