Role & Responsibilities
- To ensure all HGV repairs and maintenance is completed as per company / manufactures requirements and standards
- Correct fault diagnosis to ensure replacement parts are fitted correctly and warranty claims are in line with warranty terms.
- Ensure full and complete end of shift handover including vehicle on or off-road status.
- To complete job cards, service sheets, timesheets and any other relevant paperwork in an accurate, timely and efficient manner.
- To build rapport, develop trust and respect from both internal and external customers.
- To contribute to the development and delivery of an effective and proactive cultural environment.
- To contribute towards the continuous improvement of processes/methods and operating practices within the VMU.
- Undertakes necessary training to become multi skilled.
- Provide on the job training and support for other Technicians as and when required.
- To undertake diagnostic analysis where appropriate.
Requirements, Skills & Experience
- Must be qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance Repair, or considered qualified by experience
- Proven experience working as an effective Vehicle Technician
- Excellent customer service skills
- Great communication skills
Though not essential, any additional qualifications and / or experience in Diagnostics or Fleet Experience would be highly desirable.
