We are partnering with a well-established contractor that delivers refurbishment solutions and new build projects across the education, health, leisure, commercial, defence and heritage sectors of the industry. They are looking to recruit a Project Manager to join the Bristol team to initially oversee an Education project.
Your new role
- Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and within the approved limits.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project feasibility
- Determine and allocate necessary resources, including labour, materials, and equipment
- Implement and oversee quality control procedures to ensure project deliverables meet required standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and compliance with specifications.
- Address any issues or defects promptly to maintain project quality.
- Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety on-site.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering new Build / Refurbishment projects with a Main Contractor.
- Demonstrable experience of solo managing projects above £5m.
- Proficient in Project Management software such as Procore and MS Projects.
- Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.
- Strong understanding of building products, construction details, and relevant regulations
- Ability to liaise effectively with all stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
- Degree in construction, architecture, or related field (preferred).
