Job Title: Senior Finance Business Partner

Location: Bedford - Hybrid

Rate: Circa £600 per day (Outside IR35)

Contract: 6 Months +

Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to join a high-profile capital development programme within a large, complex organisation. This is a six-month contract opportunity, working at the heart of the senior management team, supporting the delivery of critical capital projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Governance & Performance Reporting: Provide high-level financial governance, supporting senior leadership with timely, accurate, and insightful reporting on project performance.
  • Financial Analysis & Forecasting: Lead on financial variance analysis, project spend tracking, and cost control across multiple capital projects.
  • Business Partnering: Work closely with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders, including project directors, operational leads, and finance teams, to drive financial accountability and informed decision-making.
  • Project Accounting: Oversee project accounting activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and clear linkage between capital spend and project milestones.
  • Team Collaboration: Manage and collaborate with project accounting teams to ensure delivery of high-quality financial support across the programme.
  • FP&A: Support forward-looking financial planning and analysis, ensuring capital programme affordability and alignment with strategic objectives.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Finance Business Partner within capital development or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Strong expertise in project accounting, financial analysis, and performance reporting.
  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholder relationships in a matrixed and fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills.
  • Ability to influence senior leadership and communicate complex financial information with clarity.
