Are you a visionary leader with a passion for driving ecommerce success? We are seeking an experienced Head of Ecommerce to lead our sales activities. This role is critical in achieving and surpassing revenue targets, as well as strategically developing the long-term growth of our D2C channel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Development: Create and implement an overarching Ecommerce plan, ensuring all channels perform as expected in both the UK and international markets.
  • Channel Optimisation: Collaborate with the Digital Acquisition to optimise PPC, SEO, and Affiliate channels
  • Performance Management: Work closely with Heads of Sales to evaluate the Ecommerce performance, developing action plans.
  • Revenue Streams: Partner with commercial and marketing teams to establish new revenue streams like in-feed social purchases, live shopping, and social shops to drive growth.
  • Customer Journey Planning: Utilise your expertise in DXP (Optimzely) and data platforms to recommend and lead campaign workflows and onsite customer journey mapping.
  • Customer Segmentation: Advise CRM and wider marketing teams on customer segmentation based on DXP data to enhance targeting efforts.
  • Campaign Collaboration: Align with Marketing on launch plans and content designs for campaigns.
  • Content Design Oversight: Champion customer-centric design models and ensure the site is optimized for SERP.
  • Conversion Modelling: Collaborate with Insights to develop conversion modelling for ecommerce channels.
  • Roadmap Alignment: Brief UX and Technology teams on the ecommerce roadmap, ensuring development requirements meet timeline expectations.

Leadership and Innovation:

  • Inspire your teams to innovate new sales approaches, staying ahead of industry trends and customer insights.
  • Provide organisation wide feedback on website performance to ensure optimal functionality and customer experience.
  • Deliver a unified International ecommerce sales strategy, ensuring growth and target achievement in relevant regions.
  • Oversee site visual merchandising, using insights to continuously optimise content.
  • Use sales data and content analysis to guide Merchandising and Trading teams in making informed decisions.
  • Forecast and plan online product and campaign returns.
  • As part of the Senior Management team, share accountability for the overall strategy, culture, and performance of the consumer business.
  • Continuously research market conditions and competitors, adapting plans as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Substantial experience in delivering against sales targets in a d2c retail business.
  • Experience overseeing Content Design and working with UX/UI Designers.
  • Knowledge of Optimzely or similar Digital Experience Platforms preferred.
  • Significant experience in a consumer-facing industry, working with Director/C-suite level stakeholders.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong CX behaviour through data.
  • Experience with behavioural analysis and tools like GA4, Semrush, Clarity, and BI tools.
  • Previous experience developing campaign workflows.
  • Solid understanding of Performance Marketing, including PPC, SEO, and Affiliates.
  • Experience with conversion modelling and behavioural predictions methodology.
